THRISSUR( KERALA ): The security guard of a posh residential township, who was battling for life for the past 18 days, after being grievously assaulted by a business tycoon  succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital here.

Doctors at Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, where the 50-year-old Chandrabose was undergoing treatment said the death came on Monday afternoon after his heart condition weakened.
