KOLLAM: Lawyers across the state are observing Constitution Protection Day on Tuesday in protest against the attempts by the BJP Government at the Centre to tamper with the Preamble.
The protest to be organised by All-India Lawyers Union would see lawyers wearing black badges taking a pledge of the Preamble. “The Union Government is trying to convert the country into a theocratic state and the attempts to amend the Preamble is part of the agenda,” All-India Lawyers Union state committee secretary B Rajendran said.
