KAKKANAD: The Kerala High Court has stayed the award of tender for 65 contract works and e-tender for seven other works in the Thrikkakara municipality. The court issued the interim order based on a petition filed by municipal councillor Manoop. The petitioner alleged that the re-tendering procedures were carried out without adhering to norms. This is the second time the HC is staying the tender. The first stay order was issued during the tenure of the former chairman. Then, the court had stayed the decision for one month as there was an allegation that procedures were not followed before passing the tender in the Council.
