THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It was unfortunate that V S Achuthanandan walked out of the CPM state  conference, said CPI state secretary Pannian Raveendran.

‘’The issues between VS and Pinarayi Vijayan should be settled through consensus.

The internal conflict in the party should be settled by the CPM itself. VS is still the Opposition leader of the state. I expect him to be in the forefront of the agitation to be launched by the Left Democratic Front against K M Mani,’’ Pannian told mediapersons here on Saturday after inaugurating the party’s district conference. CPI’s criticism is not to blame anyone  but intended for betterment of the LDF, he said in response to the reference against CPI in the CPM’s state conference.
