Viswanathan was a music director who had left his imprint on film music, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said. Cultural Affairs Minister K C Joseph said that Viswanathan’s death is a great loss to South Indian film music. Finance Minister K M Mani said his death was a big loss to music aficionados.
