A good Samaritan act turned near fatal for a man from Railway colony in Kollam after the King Cobra he managed to rescue bit him. Murukan caught a mature cobra from a shop at Edapallikotta after his service was sought by the shopkeeper. Though he managed to catch the reptile it bit him. He was admitted in ICU at a private hospital where his condition is said to be serious. Murukan rescues reptiles from the urban area as a hobby and hands them over to forest department.
