KAKKANAD: District Collector M G Rajamanickam has issued prohibitory order for holding any type of meeting by the service organisations within the civil station premises.
“Those who violate the order will have to face stringent action. Criminal proceedings will be initiated against the person who violates the rule,” the collector said in a order issued to the officials.
Recently, a protest meeting was organised by both the ruling and opposition party against the correction in the financial aid that was set to be released through the Mass Contact Programme. “We will not let anybody hold political discussions during the office time. The order was issued after it was found that that the protest meeting and discussions are affecting the functioning of the civil station which we cannot accept,” he said.
