COIMBATORE/KOZHIKODE:Even as rumours spread that the Q branch of Tamil Nadu police are making concerted efforts to push the Kerala State authorities to grant them access to the two daughters of Maoist couple Roopesh and Shyna, their eldest daughter has said she is ready to face any interrogation.
Though sources privy to the Q Branch, who spoke to ‘Express’, neither confirmed nor denied the rumours, a high-ranking official said that a ‘few officers’ were pressing the Kerala authorities for access to the eldest daughter, T R Ami. “We have kept all avenues of investigation open,” the sources informed.
Meanwhile, Ami, who remains unperturbed with the developments told ‘Express’: “I am ready for the police interrogation, let them question me.” She also evaded questions on whether she had met her parents prior to their arrests. “Police have not interrogated me yet and hence the question does not have relevance as of now,” she said.
