Vigilance Court Okays Polygraph

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vigilance Court here on Monday gave permission to conduct a lie detection test on Ambily, driver of Bar Association working president Biju Ramesh, after he stated his willingness to undergo the test in the bar bribery scam case.

 The Forensic Lab Director was asked to fix a date for conducting the test and intimate the same to the court, Vigilance and Ambily, who is a witness in the case.

 The court had last week sent notice to Ambily to appear before it to state if he was willing to undergo polygraph test after the Vigilance had sought permission to conduct a lie detection on him. 

Ambily had given a statement that he drove association president D Rajkumar to Finance Minister K M Mani’s residence, where he was witness to the money being handed over to the Minister.

Apart from Ambily, the Vigilance had last week given time till May 16 to four bar owners and another to clarify if they were willing to undergo a lie detection test.
