'Emigration Clearance Norms Relaxed Until May 31'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Labour Minister Shibu Baby John on Wednesday said that the Labour Department has relaxed emigration clearance norms until May 31 for nurses who have obtained visa legitimately. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had requested Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to immediately allow emigration clearance to all nurses who have legal visas but failed to join the jobs based in countries that required emigration clearance, Shibu said.
