KOTTAYAM:Putting an end to the controversies over the captaincy of UDF rally in the Central zone, Kerala Congress (M) has assigned the charge to party state general secretary Dr N Jayaraj. KC(M) general secretary Joy Abraham announced the decision on Saturday.
Earlier, KC(M) deputy chairman C F Thomas, who was supposed to lead the rally, had withdrawn from the assignment citing health reasons, evoking speculations that he was giving way for Jose J Mani MP.
Though, both KC(M) leadership and Jose K Mani had denied any such move, the issue put the commencement of zonal rallies in crisis forcing the UDF leadership to postpone its date to May 27 in the Central zone.
