Amit Shah to Arrive Tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  A crucial week lies ahead for the state unit of the BJP with the party’s national president Amit Shah set to arrive here on Tuesday morning. Addressing the BJP blockade of the Secretariat aside, he will be attending a core group meeting of the state unit on Tuesday.  Shah, accompanied by Union Minister for Skill Development Rajiv Pratap Rudy and party national secretary H Raja, will also be addressing a meeting of BJP leaders and citizens in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation area at the Kartika Tirunal Theatre on Tuesday evening.

‘’The core group meeting will be held on Tuesday afternoon at the Government Guest House. It will discuss various issues pertaining to the party in Kerala,’’ party state president V Muralidharan said.

BJP Secretariat Siege from Today

The BJP will lay siege to the Secretariat from Monday evening to Tuesday noon in protest against ‘corrupt politics and political compromises’ indulged in by the UDF-led government in the state.  BJP national president Amit Shah will address the stir on Tuesday afternoon, BJP state president V Muralidharan said.

Bharateeya Janatha Yuva Morcha activists will launch the blockade at 5 p.m. on Monday. Senior leaders, including Amit Shah and national secretary H Raja, and top state leaders will address the stir on Tuesday, Muralidharan said.
