'Probe Corruption Cases Without Delay'

KOCHI: Expressing his vexation over the delay in the probe into the bar bribery case, in a veiled manner, Finance Minister and Kerala Congress leader KM Mani said that ‘investigation of corruption cases should be completed in a speedy manner.’ Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he said he agreed with the opinion of senior Congress leader A K Antony that corruption prevailed everywhere.  “There is nothing new in his statement that there is corruption in the political and official levels. We should try to eradicate corruption. However, a person should not be termed corrupt merely because charges are levelled against him. A probe should be conducted and truth should be revealed at the earliest,” he said.   Meanwhile, Mani refused to comment on the recent statements by the Congress leaders. Instead, he said, “all the parties should try to avoid making public statements.”   The Minister informed that from June, Rubber would be procured at Rs 180 per kg.
