THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Informal discussions are going on with leaders of representative parties in the Assembly to thrash out a settlement on various issues related to the ruckus witnessed in the House in its last session, Speaker N Sakthan said here on Tuesday.

He said a decision on the complaint of Left women MLAs that a few ruling party legislators had misbehaved with them amid the ruckus over budget presentation on the eventful day has been held back, since the matter has been taken to the court by them. The Speaker said that he is yet to receive any communique from the government to convene the Assembly. ‘’The schedule has not been finalised. Any way, it will have to be convened before June 15, since the annual budget has to be adopted...“I’m hopeful about the smooth conduct of  proceedings in the next session,’’ he said.
