UDF Unaffected

PALAKKAD: Citing the move of Kerala Congress (B) leaders Balakrishna Pillai and his son K B Ganesh Kumar against corruption, KPCC vice-president M M Hassan opined that it is like the corrupt organising strikes against corruption. He was speaking after inaugurating the public conference organised as part of the UDF’s zonal rally at Koottanadu in the district on Friday.

The UDF state committee’s zonal rally entered the district on Friday, to explain the welfare measures implemented by the UDF government and expose the flaws of the Central Government. M M Hassan challenged the CPM to conduct a probe into the allegations raised by the former MD of the Malabar Cements against CPM leader Elamaram Kareem.

“Party secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is not courageous enough to conduct a probe and now he is behind all small parties to join the LDF. Many regional parties have left the Front and the LDF is in a dire need to get some regional parties in. Now they are targetting the Muslim League before the coming elections and the UDF will not be affected by any of the political strategies of the LDF,” added Hassan.
