CPI (M) State Secretariat member V V Dakshinamoorthy passes away

KOZHIKODE: CPI (M) State Secretariat member V V Dakshinamoorthy passed away at Kozhikode on Wednesday.

Dakshinamoorthy, who had been undergoing treatment for respiratory ailments breathed his last at the District Cooperative hospital here at 3:30 pm on Wednesday. He had also served as Chief Editor of Deshabhimani.He was 82 and leaves behind wife T M Nalini and three children.

He was born in Paleri near Perambra in Kozhikode on May 20, 1935. He was elected to the State Assembly thrice from Perambra constituency. He also served as manager of Deshabhimani's Kozhikode unit for around 20 years.
