Screen-writer Mani Shornur Passes Away in Thrissur

At 71, eminent screen-writer Mani Shornur passed away in a private hospital at Thrissur early Wednesday morning.

THRISSUR: At 71, eminent screen-writer Mani Shornur passed away in a private hospital at Thrissur early Wednesday morning. He had reportedly been undergoing treatment for heart related ailments. Mani, who had made his mark in the field with his first film Amina tailors, has written the scrips for several movies like 'Devaragam', 'Kottaram Veettil Appukkuttan', 'Sarkar Dada' and 'Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshtrathilakkam'. His cremation will take place on Thursday.
