Pinarayi Warns of Tough Times Ahead for Chief Minister

KOCHI: Reiterating that the LDF will put up a stiff resistance against the UDF Government within and outside the state Assembly, CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan has warned that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy would not be allowed to roam freely.

A whole range of evidences against Oommen Chandy and colleagues has been made public in connection with the Solar scam. There was no question of allowing Oommen Chandy to remain in power any longer, Pinarayi Vijayan said at a press conference here on Wednesday.

Days of disquiet await the Chief Minister. Strong protests would be planned inside and outside the Assembly. However, the mode of protests will be decided later, the CPM leader added.

Criticising minister KC Joseph for abusing a High Court judge whose verdict went against the government, Pinarayi Vijayan said that the Minister was trying to save Oommen Chandy.

The CPM leader also alleged that Congress men, secretly instigated by the Chief Minister, had targetted  Vigilance judges for putting government in a fix in Solar case and Palmolin case.
