'BJP Poll Talks on' Says Kummanam Rajasekharan

BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan has said that talks with allies have already begun on seat-sharing for coming Assembly elections.

PATHANAMTHITTA: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan has said that talks with allies have already begun on seat-sharing for coming Assembly elections.

Talking to newsmen at Ranni on Sunday, Kummanam Rajasekharan, who was there to receive the ‘Chinmudra Puraskaram’ instituted by Ranni Hindumahamandalam, said that talks are on with Kerala Congress (P C Thomas) and Lok Janasakthi party leaders on the coming elections. The BJP state-level core committee meeting to be held on March 2 will give a final shape to seat-sharing, Kummanam said.

He said  preliminary discussions with BDJS have already been held and another round of talks will be held on March 2. On BJP candidates, Kummanam said the  state core committee to be held on March 2 will take a decision on the selection of candidates forwarded by the list prepared by the district core committees. The final selection of candidates for the election will be decided by the party national leadership from list of probables sent by the state core committee, Kummanam said.

Chinmudra Puraskaram instituted by the Ranni Hindumahamandalam, was presented to Kummanam Rajasekharan by Swami Poornamritanandapuri, general secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, at the valedictory function of 60th Ranni Hindu meet.
