Visa fraud case: Man arrested by Nadakkavu police

Junaid duped Jineesh, a native of Thalakulathoor of 5.6 lakh rupees after promising him a job with a lucrative salary of Rs1.5 lakh in Macau.

KOZHIKODE: Nadakkavu police, on Tuesday, arrested a person accused of cheating people of lakhs of rupees by promising them visas to Canada, Macau and China. The accused, Junaid, son of Muhammadali, is a native of Ayikkarappadi. He was remanded to judicial custody. According to Nadakkavu police, he has duped many persons and collected Rs15 lakh.

Junaid duped Jineesh, a native of Thalakulathoor of 5.6 lakh rupees after promising him a job with a lucrative salary of Rs1.5 lakh in Macau. He duped K Dhanesh from Ramanattukara and Rashik, a native of Vattakkinar, each of Rs 4.6 lakh. Several complaints have been filed against him with police. Nadakkavu Sub Inspector G Gopakumar led the arrest.
