'Kochi Metro will stick to deadline'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kochi Metro will stick to the deadline of April next year, set by Chief Minister, E Sreedharan, principal advisor of the project, said on Tuesday. He was speaking after meeting CM Pinarayi Vijayan at his office. The metroman updated the CM about the project. On the Light Metro projects in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, Pinarayi sought a status report from the team. It was a courtesy visit and we did not go into the details of the project, said Sreedharan. The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Nalini Netto, IT Secretary M Sivasankar and other DMRC officials. Later they met Public Works Minister G Sudhakaran at his office. The project had a deadline on November this year and has recently shifted it to April, 2017.
