THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that he has always drawn inspiration from criticism. Speaking at the release of a book on his lighter side ‘Kunjoonju Kathakal’, penned by his press secretary and journalist P T Chacko, the CM said his commitment was to the people and that he slogged till he fell asleep. “I would not feel any strain or grief when I am with the people,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, former additional chief secretary Babu Paul said that considering the strides in development under the Chandy Government, he could be compared only with C Achuthamenon. He also drew parallel with Karpoori Thakur, former chief minister of Bihar. Actor Madhu released the book by giving away a copy of it to Babu Paul. JD(U) state president M P Veerendra Kumar also spoke. Sunnykutty Abraham introduced the book shedding light on various instances on the lighter side of Chandy’s personal and public life.
