Bar: Hearing on Plea on April 16

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  An anti-corruption court here has adjourned the hearing on the petition filed against the investigation report of Vigilance acquitting former finance minister K  M Mani on his alleged involvement in the bar bribery case to April 16.

The case was postponed after some petitioners sought more time on Saturday to file the affidavit against the acquittal of Mani in the case. Following this, the judge Justice John K Illikkadan granted one and half months time for filing the affidavit.

V S Sunil Kumar MLA of CPI, BJP leader V Muraleedharan and  Noble Mathew were the three petitioners.

The case was considered by the court after a section of people approached the court objecting probe report submitted by SP Sukeshan which had given a clean chit to Mani.
