Sena to Contest in 45 Seats in Kerala Assembly Elections

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Shiv Sena would extend unconditional support to estranged BJP leader P P Mukundan if he contested in the Assembly election, unit chief of the party, M S Bhuvanachandran, said on Friday.

He said that there were many in the BJP like Mukundan who had been overlooked by the party for elections. The state unit of Shiv Sena announced that the party would contest in 45 seats in the Assembly elections. This was decided during the state election committee meeting held in the capital on Friday. The list of candidates will be sent for the approval of Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray on March 15. The Shiv Sena in the state has not been included in the NDA and hence its candidates will contest in its own symbol.
