Organs donated from a brain dead woman saves lives of four

The organs were brought from Pariyaram Medical College after her death was confirmed by the doctors.

KOZHIKODE: A 37-year-old woman from Kasargod declared brain dead by doctors, gave a new lease of life to four others after her relatives decided to donated her organs. The donors heart, liver and kidneys were transplanted to four patients after successful surgeries held at MIMS hospital in the city on Tuesday.

The organs were brought from Pariyaram Medical College. Dr. Anil Jose, Dr. Murali P Vettath, Dr. Rohith Raveendran and Dr. Khurshid Ahmed were involved in the transplant surgeries.
