KANNUR: In a bizzare incident, two staff of the Pariyaram Medical College, who were accused of disrespecting the dead body of young women during the embalming, allegedly by the family members, were taken to custody by the police, on Wednesday.
The incident came to light, when the family members, who gave the body of young women for embalming at the anotomy department, were found to their shock that the staff in the department were trying to take the nude picture of the women on the mobile phone.
They found the anatomy assistant Sunil (44) was completed inebirated conditation and Nursing Assistant Manoj (40), was doing the embalming. In between Manoj was allegedly found to be taking the photo. However when the family member, who went to check, found this incident and raised the alarm and wrangled with the staffs.
Meanwhile the Manoj managed to escape from the place, while the issue was taken up with the police, they arrested Sunil on Tuesday, while Manoj take to custody later.
The police registered a case and arrested the under section 297 of the IPC. Further investigation is going on, the police added.
