THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sports Minister A C Moideen on Wednesday reiterated that the state government will employ India international footballer C K Vineeth in a suitable post in the government services. The minister said the footballer had submitted a request and resume to the ministry in this regard. “Vineeth has submitted an application for a government job.
The government will take an action immediately on the issue,” said Moideen in a statement. Vineeth was dismissed from his job at the Accountant General’s Office in Thiruvananthapuram due to a lack of attendance.
Vineeth had said he would prefer a state government job over the AG’s Office job as it would help him to continue his career as a professional footballer. The 29-year-old attacker had last week signed for Kerala Blasters for the upcoming Indian Super League season along defender Sandesh Jhingan.
