KOCHI: Here’s good news for those who wish to cruise on high-end bikes of premium brands like Harley Davidson and Enfield Himalayan in a unique and unforgettable way, exploring the country that has a great history and savouring the tastes of different traditions and cultures.

Get ready to start your journey waking up to the view of snow-capped mountains in the North or exploring the scenic beauty of the Gods Own Country. And the best part of it is that you don’t have to own a bike.

Caferide, the first Kerala-based luxury motorcycle renting company, is all set to roll out its premium bikes for rent in Kochi. The venture will help motorcycle enthusiasts - from adventure travellers to destination explorers - discover and enjoy new places on wheels. The fleet of Caferide, a one-stop-shop to hire luxury bikes and accessories, includes popular luxury brands like Harley Davidson, Royal Enfield, Ducati and Triumph.

Caferide co-owner Sanish Rajappan told ‘Express,’ “ours is an attempt to introduce a totally new segment in Kerala’s travel and tourism industry. We will start accepting bookings from Monday onwards, and are hopeful of tapping the growing domestic and international tourist market here.”  “Both domestic and international travellers aged 21 and above can hire high-end motorcycles from Caferide through advance booking. The motorcycles, equipped with  sophisticated GPS device, can be hired for self-drive, guided tours or tailor-made adventure holidays within the country. In phase-I, Harley Davidson’s Iron-883 and HD Street-750; and Royal Enfield’s Himalayan Black, RE TBT-500, Classic-350 and Desert Storm will be available.

The Tourism Department has granted permission to use the logo of Kerala Tourism for promotional activities of the venture, which is expected to give a boost to the state’s tourism sector.

The company has also made arrangements to rent out cameras and accessories that are mandatory for professional riding, such as safety gear. With adventure riding evolving as a lifestyle across the world, the sector will have a lot of takers in Kerala.

“Ever since we launched our website, we have been receiving enquiries from various quarters daily,” said owners of Caferide.
