KOCHI: Actor Dileep on Tuesday submitted before the Angamaly Judicial First Class Magistrate Court that arraigning him in the case was illegal and unjust. It is a face-saving act by the police, he said in the bail petition.

The plea stated he was implicated in the case solely based on the uncorroborated statement of an accused who did not even indicate any involvement of the petitioner though he was questioned on several days.

The new developments are ill-motivated. The arrest was made violating the Supreme Court directive.
