THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has demanded a comprehensive probe into all deals involving BJP leaders from the state after the current government came to power at the Centre. “The state BJP is in the muddy depths of corruption. By spending a portion of the money amassed through such corruption in elections in the state, the BJP was trying to rattle the people and capture power. In the last Assembly elections, money was pumped by the BJP,” he said.

What has come out in the medical college approval grant scam was only a tip of the iceberg. “By virtue of the clout in the BJP-led Union Government, the involvement of BJP leaders ranges from massive corruption for brokering and finalising various deals to printing counterfeit notes and circulating them. The list of involvement of BJP leaders in shady deals is unending,” he said.

What has come to light are facts which have been zeroed in through internal inquiries conducted by the state BJP unit itself.
