THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state chief Kummanam Rajasekharan on Sunday called Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s bluff following the latter’s claim Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had expressed satisfaction with the state’s law and order situation.

Rajnath who spoke to the Chief Minister over phone had voiced concern at the situation in Kerala. He had revealed this on Twitter “But the Chief Minister’s claim the Union Minister had expressed his satisfaction is unfortunate. Does the Chief Minister’s Office interpret ‘concern’ as ‘satisfaction’? Kummanam said. He said the CPM was spreading misconceptions regarding the RSS functionary’s murder here. “CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan said BJP workers had murdered the RSS worker. Then, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said Congress workers were the culprits.

The CPM is trying to confuse people with baseless claims,’’ he said. Unlike in the other states, in Kerala the ruling party is trying to annihilate the Opposition parties and this has to end,” Kummanam said. BJP district president S Suresh on Sunday said the CPM local leadership was involved in RSS Karyavahak Rajesh’s murder. The CPM is engaged in efforts to turn Thiruvananthapuram into another Kannur, according to him.
