KOZHIKODE: A difference of opinion has emerged in the JD(U) over support to BJP’s presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind with JD(U) state president M P Veerendra Kumar, who is the lone JD(U) MP in Rajya Sabha, on Wednesday stating he would not vote for the BJP candidate.
Earlier, JD(U) national leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had declared the party would vote for Ramnath Kovind. “I have informed Nitish Kumar about the state unit’s decision. He allowed me to take a decision considering the state unit’s interest,” he said.
