THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Saritha S Nair, the prime accused in the Solar scam, expressed her happiness over getting justice with the Left Government initiating a probe on the basis of the Commission report. Though there was a delay, Saritha said she was happy that she got justice at last. She hailed the Pinarayi Vijayan Government for initiating a probe against former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and others in the scam. She was also thankful to the Commission who heard her side.

Saritha said no women should be sexually exploited by politicians ever. This is a warning to those who think they can do anything with political backing. She said she had cooperated with the Solar Commission and would continue to cooperate in the further probe. “I had been fighting alone for the past four years. I had faced many challenges all these years. At last, justice has been delivered,’’ she said.

When asked about Oommen Chandy’s allegation that his name was mentioned in a ‘fake’ letter,  she said:  “if that is so, let him produce the original letter. I have written only one letter and in that I have mentioned Chandy, among others.’’
