13 ordinances to be reissued

The Cabinet on Friday decided to ask the Governor to re-promulgate 13 ordinances including the Kerala High Court (Amendment) Ordinance and the Abkari (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet on Friday decided to ask the Governor to re-promulgate 13 ordinances including the Kerala High Court (Amendment) Ordinance and the Abkari (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018. There remain only two days for the 42 day (six weeks)-deadline to end. Ordinances will lapse if they are not enacted or re-issued within this stipulated period.

The other ordinances include the one meant to amend the Travancore-Cochin Hindu Religious Institutions Act, the Kerala State Higher Education Council (Amendment) Ordinance, the Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University (Amendment) Ordinance, the Calicut University (alternative arrangement temporarily of the Senate and the Syndicate) Ordinance, the Kerala University (Amendment) Ordinance,  the Kerala Panachayat Raj (Amendment) Ordinance, to name a few.
