TIRUVALLA: A CPM local leader who tried to present a decoy for undergoing the DNA test to establish the paternity of a ‘love child’ he had allegedly fathered has been caught red-handed.

Sajimon, the CPM north committee’s local secretary, attempted to sabotage the DNA test, police sources said. They also indicated action will be initiated against the police personnel who colluded with Sajimon.

The incident came to light after the youth who was the proxy blurted out his real name unwittingly when the blood sample was being collected. Sajimon was reportedly in a relationship with a married woman and she had conceived as a result.
