Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's meeting reviews plan expenditure

The review was conducted at the tri-monthly meeting convened by the chief minister to assess the progress of plan spending.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday noted the state could make big strides in plan spending.

Plan spending in the 2017-18 fiscal was 91 per cent, a three percent rise from the previous fiscal. Plan expenditure of local self-governments was 85 per cent as against 72 per cent in the previous fiscal.
Chief Secretary Paul Antony, chief minister’s principal secretary VS Senthil and various department secretaries attended the meeting.

The review was conducted at the tri-monthly meeting convened by the chief minister to assess the progress of plan spending. The Finance Department presented each department’s plan spending statistics.
