Adivasi man who fell from coconut tree dies in Kerala's Kozhikode Medical College Hospital

KOZHIKODE: An 50-year-old Adivasi man, who sustained serious injuries after falling from a coconut tree, died at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital on Friday evening. The deceased was identified as Kandan of Chellode colony, Pookkottumpadam of Nilambur in Malappuram. Meanwhile, there were allegation the man was not properly attended by doctors and it led to his death. But, the hospital authorities denied the charges.

“The man was admitted to the hospital around 2.30 pm with fatal injuries. The man was getting all possible treatment and he succumbed to injuries around 5.30 pm while he was undergoing CT scan at the laboratory,” they said. The body will be handed over to relatives after conducting a post-mortem on Saturday.
