Condemning the SFI leader's murder at Maharaja's College, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said extremist elements from outside the campus are behind the murder. Any attempt to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in campuses would be met with an iron hand, Pinarayi warned.

Three accused have already been taken into custody, said the Chief Minister in his Facebook post adding that police have been directed to take stern action in the issue.

Pinarayi Vijayan's Facebook post:

"Preliminary investigation by the police has brought out that it was a planned murder. People - of extremist nature - from outside the campus have led the violence. The secular society should be cautious against extremism," Pinarayi said in his FB post.

In general there's a peaceful atmosphere in Kerala campuses. Government will prevent attempts from any corners to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in campuses.
