Kerala universities to go paperless in near future

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an effort to make the services of all universities available online, the varsity proceedings will go paperless soon. The digital conversion process is underway, including digitisation of varsity announcements and making certificates available online.

Certificates such as eligibility, equivalency, migration, provisional and college transfer, as well as mark lists, exam calendar, important dates, announcements, orders and circulars will be available online once the automation is over.

The Higher Education Department has decided to make the services online for the convenience of students. Once implemented, students need not go to respective colleges for certificates and mark lists. The certificates provided to students will have digital signature. Students will receive certificates within half-an-hour of receiving the applications. MG University has already started providing certificates online.
