BHUBANESWAR: Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhabana Award was conferred on Captain (IN) K S Noor, Principal, Sainik School Bhubaneswar, recently. He was adjudged ‘Eminent Educationist of the year 2010’ .
He received the award from OPCC president K P Singhdeo at a function here. Capt Noor is an officer of the Indian Navy commissioned in 1987 batch in the education branch. Earlier he was awarded a commendation by the Flag Officer Commanderin- Chief in 1992 for devotion to duty as education officer at INS Chilka and a commendation by the Chief of the Naval Staff in 2001 for dedication to service and meritorious professional contribution of a very high order in the field of education in the Navy. He has authored many research papers in education and training and also published a book of poems called ‘Nostalgia’ in 2007.
