SAMBALPUR: ARMED dacoits have decamped with Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and 300 grams of gold ornaments at gunpoint from a house  in Pradhan Pada area under Ainthapli police limits here. They also left one of the residents injured for resisting. Sambalpur Police led by SP Asheet Panigrahi rushed to the spot. No arrest has yet been made and police are tight-lipped about any lead in the case. Six or seven armed dacoits barged into the building occupied by the Pharmaceuticals Distributor Santosh Agrawal. Santosh was away from home when the incident took place.  They tied up Shanti Agrawal, wife of Santosh, and his daughter-in-law Minu and held his seven-month-old grandson at gunpoint while others looted cash and ornaments from the almirah.

It is learnt that the dacoits, who spoke in Hindi and Oriya cleaned the house of the booty within half an hour before fleeing. However, Minu managed to free herself and informed their relatives who in turn called the police.
