The Crime Branch on Monday arrested one more person for his alleged involvement in the 2008 nun gangrape case. Crime Branch Inspector Dillip Mohanty said the accused, identified as Narayan Mohanty alias Dilu (38) of Raikia village, was nabbed near the court square here. Mohanty was produced in the court of SDJM, Balliguda, and remanded in judicial custody.
The number of persons arrested in the case has now gone up to 26. The other 25 are lodged in Choudwar Jail. The nun was allegedly gangraped on August 25, 2008 after the killing of Lakshmanananda Saraswati at K. Nuagaon village in Kandhamal district.
