Fix a day to redress grievances, DMs and SPs told

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed collectors (district magistrates) and SPs to fix a day to hear grievances of people.

Naveen, who reviewed the implementation of different programmes in all the districts through video-conferencing, asked the collectors to move to sub-divisions and blocks to hear grievances and take steps to redress the complaints.

Implementation of cycles-to-students scheme, Mamata Yojana, disbursement of funds from Odisha Treatment Fund, success of lift irrigation points and check dam schemes, holding of camps under Biju Grameen Yojana and mobile health camps and implementation of different schemes for physically-challenged were reviewed.

Besides, Naveen also reviewed progress in the construction of village concrete roads and Gopabandhu Grameen Yojana. Chief Secretary BK Patnaik and secretaries of different departments were present.
