Traffic came to a standstill on Jeypore-Sunki national highway as thousands crowded the road to greet the newly inducted Mass Education Minister, Rabi Narayan Nanda, on Friday.

As soon as the minister reached Sunki bordering Koraput district, locals, including schoolchildren, rushed to greet him creating traffic jams. The problem continued late into the evening with the convoy of the minister passing through the  highway. Nanda had earlier dedicated two school buses and a education resource centre in Koraput.
