An outlet of North-East based Chetna Restaurants Pvt. Ltd, which started its business in the city with Silver Streak at Nayapalli, Quick Pick, in a span of just one year, has quickly made its presence felt particularly among the young masses and the corporate office-goers.
Says Manager Mrinal Jyoti Baishya, who has earlier worked for Barista and now Silver Streak, ‘’the very idea of opening Quick Pick was to meet the demand that Silver Streak was unable to meet any longer, considering the space constraint there. Since Patia is a location where the population is on the rise with so many corporate and educational institutions coming up, we decided to open it there.’’
The hefty menu at Quick Pick gives a wide range of choices to indulge in - be it the variety of soups, starters or main course. And, chefs from Darjeeling and Nepal do justice to all the preparations.
Typically authentic Momos, hot and spicy Monchow soup, tongue-tingling Tempura and Singapore chilli prawn , salivatingly appetizing chicken drumsticks and shredded chicken in chilli garlic sauce, sliced chicken or prawn in Thai curry, chilli garlic noodles and szechuan fried rice are just a few of the near-perfectly executed highlights in the menu. This apart, the E-Fu Noodles , exclusive only to Quick Pick and Silver Streak in the city, is another must-try dish.
It doesn’t end here. The place serves a variety of expresso-based coffee drinks and sinful dessert delights to appeal to the taste buds.
Due to the spacious set-up, Quick Pick is also an ideal location for parties. Since the place is frequented by a lot of youngsters, the restaurant keeps coming up with some schemes or plans, buffets on weekends and special days and also candlelight dinners. Quick Pick also does home-delivery. ‘’We make at least 15 to 20 deliveries per day, mostly to the apartments in the area,’’ informs Baishya.
