DHENKANAL: Five persons sustained burn injuries in a fire mishap that rendered 55 families homeless in Baradapal village of Baunsapal panchayat in Hindol block on Monday night.
Property worth ` 55 lakh was damaged. While all the injured persons have been admitted to the Hindol hospital, condition of one of them is stated to be critical.
A similar mishap had occurred in the village on Sunday wherein 40 families were rendered homeless with the fire engulfing 120 rooms.
The affected families detained Hindol Tehsildar who visited them on Tuesday.
Collector Bishnu Prasad Panda said those affected would be provided relief as per the relief code.
