Admission date extended to 14th

The Department of Higher Education (DHE) has extended the dates for direct admission to vacant seats in junior and degree colleges till August 14.

Department of Higher Education has issued notification for conducting direct admission for the vacant seats at the college level.

The admission will be conducted for both Plus Two and Plus Three colleges.

At present, more than 66,000 seats are lying vacant in the Plus Two colleges and more than 27,000 in Plus Three colleges.

The students who want to apply for the vacant seats have to submit common application form (CAF) in person at the respective colleges by August 7.

A merit list will be published by the colleges on August 10.

The admission will take place only on the basis of merit list prepared by the respective colleges. The selection list will be announced on August 12 and 13.

This year, Department of Higher Education  has also decided to facilitate admission of the local students into Plus Two colleges by creating additional 15 per cent seats over and above the sanctioned strength.

The seats will be enhanced only in the colleges in rural areas where the demand for seats surpasses the sanctioned strength.

The admission to the total number of the enhanced seat list will begin from August 16.
