Ban Ki-moon to interact with KISS students

In a first of its kind event for a State school, Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon will hold a live interaction with students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) here through video conferencing marking the International Youth Day.

The UN Secretary-General will hold discussion with the students of five schools from across five continents on the occasion and KISS has been selected to represent Asia. One school each from Africa, Europe, Latin America and Arab states will also participate.

 The theme of the interaction will be ‘Good Education,’ and will focus on importance and quality of education and actions needed to prioritise it. The interaction with KISS students will focus on tribal girl child education at higher secondary level.

 Ban Ki-moon will also interact on different youth issues including health, education, good governance, livelihood, employment, science and drugs addiction.
