Officers of the Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) on Sunday urged the State Government to remove pay anomalies within the cadre and create better promotion facilities.
Members of the ORS Association submitted a memorandum to Revenue and Disaster Management Minister S N Patro and requested him to consider their demands for a grade pay of `5,400 at entry level and remove the age bar for promotion.
Under the existing system, an ORS officer will be eligible for promotion to the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) after attaining 50 years of age.
The association also demanded that 50 per cent of the tehsildar posts be filled up from ORS cadre.
