Two SSA scam accused surrender

The two persons accused in over Rs 5 crore scam in Balangir Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) surrendered at Balangir town police station on Friday morning.

Recently, the SDJM court, Balangir had issued non-bailable warrants against the duo after rejecting their pleas for anticipatory bail. After the scam surfaced, the then DPC Susanta Chopdar had lodged an FIR in Balangir town police station on May 9. Both the accused were absconding for last three months. The Crime Branch was investigating the case and vigilance sleuths had raided the houses of both the accused.
